MY APPROACH
Appropriately adjusting the spine can have a remarkable impact on one’s overall health, pain levels and mobility.
I tend to be more of a gentle adjuster, particularly with the neck. I use a very light technique when adjusting the cervical spine. I also utilize a variety of full spine techniques aided by the table and tools I use. In addition to adjusting the spine, I also adjust extremities and have found this to be particularly helpful with foot/ankle and wrist/hand pain. I also find it helpful to work on certain muscles when in acute pain.
For years I’ve managed my own spinal injury’s incurred during high school football, one as a sophomore, one as a junior. Chiropractic has given me the ability to get back on my feet much quicker and has allowed me to do so much more than I would otherwise be capable of, especially as I’ve gotten older. I’ve come to really appreciate good chiropractic.
A WORD ON PAIN
Pain is a lesson sent to teach us. Maybe it’s telling us we need to move more, incorporate stretching into our weekly routines, change our bedding or pillows, gain control of our diet, or to stop sitting at a desk all day, whatever the reason for its presence, I will do my best to help you uncover the source of it. We will then work to formulate a plan to create in you, a resilient, strong body and mind- capable of facing the challenges nature has gifted you in order to progress in life.
CHIROPRACTIC CARE
Chiropractic care is often described as an alternative method to pain treatment. While this is mostly true, please keep in mind there are hundreds of techniques chiropractors’ use to find and fix subluxations (spinal misalignments). Some techniques are suited nicely for relieving differing types of pain. The method I use focuses primarily on the junction where your skull and neck meet, known as the upper cervical spine. Throughout my 9 years of practice, these are some of the most common conditions that I’ve seen routinely helped through upper cervical care that isn’t necessarily pain related and often times are frustrating for other types of care:
-
Migraines & other types of headaches
-
Multiple sclerosis
-
Seizure disorders
-
Childhood bed wetting (nocturnal enuresis)
-
Early onset Parkinson’s Disease
-
Trigeminal Neuralgia
-
Meniere’s Disease
-
Vertigo
-
Post Concussion Syndrome
